i downloaded the real red mod rrxv2.zip file and extracted it etc. downloaded mod manager version config5.1 and installed the real red mod. i have got new equipment "great" new sounds "fantastic" but no maps or battles. i see many files in the real red mod sub directories with good sounding battle names but none of them are installed in my game. do i have to copy the maps or battles manually? thanks for your help. jman

Virtually every mod requires a full install of the game to your computer.  This puts all the maps on your hard drive, whereas a partial installation relies on the CD files to supply maps.  You need to uninstall the mod and then unistall CC3.  Reinstall CC3 and use the full installation option.

And again, virtually ever mod is based on the patched version of the original game.  Once you have done a full install, you need to run the patch to bring it up to the base standard for using mods.  It's a pain in the arse, I know, but it is what you need to do.

C'est magnifique, mais ce n'est pas la guerre.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
