Playing CC since 2004 and the best part of CC is definitely the mods and the dedication of modders...
I enjoy CC most when I play different mods... !! (GJS and Stalingrad Mods being my favorite)
I realized there is a decent amount of know-how in forums about how to mod CC, however it is distributed all over the site. If there was a task force, which would sum all the knowledge and experience of modders throughout the years to bring in a well structured E-book, it would be really helpful for novice modders, who have passion but do not know where to start...
I just wanted to share my opinion. |

Archaeological divers have recovered human remains from the wreck of a U.S. bomber that crashed near the Mediterranean island of Malta in May 1943.
Scientific analysis by the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) has confirmed the remains are those of U.S. Army Air Forces (USAAF) Sgt. Irving R. Newman, who was 22 years old when the aircraft — a B-24 Liberator based in Libya — suffered engine trouble and was hit by anti-aircraft fire during a bombing raid over the southern tip of Italy.

It's also work for vehicles with RtB tool (attached image). At this time, I just modified the hull, not vanilla turret (Bradley vehicle have now a french VBCI HULL)
This VBCI has no correct length, I will do better work later : it was just a technical test (attached is the image of VBCI un WSPMBT, I used this graph)
Very cool features : the WSPMBT graphs work perfect in CCMT, you have just to rework them a little bit about size.
Thanks again for help, ScnelleMeyer, RtB works fine for vehicles
The pb is now the amount of work !
Does the modifications requires to modify all 17 files in a TEX ? (I just modified the first and it works in game, but perhaps I am wrong and I have to modify the 17 files)
If needed to modify the 17 tga of a TEX file, the addition will be hard : 17 files for hull + 17 files for turret = 34 files for "normal look" x 3 (normal look, snow look, desert look) = 102 files for each vehicle x approx 20 vehicles = 2040 files

It is nice that you benefit from SPMBT Nice, good work! |

Guys, I am sure you are already aware that we are experiencing the worst disaster of the century. I do not live in the disaster area but my heart is with all those people suffering there... If you would like to donate, AFAD is the official goverment organisation for disaster situations. "Deprem" means earthquake in Turkish. In this link you can find international bank account numbers.

I am glad someone makes an effort to mod it. CCMAT is IMO best suited for Cold War Era scenarios or french resistance or other in WWII. The distinctive features it brings are you get the civilian factor and you get other features for modifying soldier equipment and add barriers or configure check points and of course in game reinforcement. |

Glad you like the mod, Changing/relieving battlegroups from armor to infantry can't be done, so the infantry battlegroup has to fit in the "infantry column-vehicle column-support column structure", to do this i've made duplicate infantry teams coded as "vehicle" so the player can put those teams in the vehicle column instead of the tanks.
The eastern front was so huge you could make dozens of great mods, problem is drawing the maps, you need huge amounts of time and artistic skills to draw a map, let alone 64 of them to fill the stratmap. i've been looking for software that can help you make a basic top down map where ground, water and road textures can be easily drawn but i can't find any that i can use.

Yeah, actually there are numerous clashes in history that could be portrayed by Close Combat, which is a well proven realistic and fun to play platform. I wish a professional company had produced tools for easy self modding yourself. I play Steel Panthers MBT too, you can create map, have all the vehicles available for all the countries categorized by year. I also use it as vehicle Encylopedia. I sometimes wonder, how awesome would be if CC had such flexibility... |

It seems that Russia will not only invade Donbas. They will probably overthrow the current goverment and replace it with a fellow one.
Besides, IMO, they historically now the terrain and odds well. It will not be like USA, or generally speaking West, involving into Iraq or Afghanistan. |

Small caliber AA guns can't fire at airplanes during an airstrike. You must use them against infantry, guns and soft-armored vehicles (cars, half-tracks).

And they are actually used this way in the war. |
