The strategic campaign has 24 maps, there are also new sounds, units and a modified AI. The SDKDK_v1.0.pln plugin is designed to be played as the Axis player vs the AI. The SDKDK_Russian_Submod.pln is for playing the Russians vs German AI. You must have SDKDK_v1.0.pln installed prior to installing the Russian submod.
